Who we are
Taste of Africa is a cultural event which was first organised in Middlesbrough on October 15, 2004 by Cultures Community Interest Company based in Stockton- a Cultural Awareness, Diversity Training and Consultancy Organisation which was then based in Middlesbrough in the Tees Valley area of North East England. Set up primarily to deliver Cultural Awareness and Diversity Training to organisations, business,schools and provide support services to Black Minority Ethnic (BME) comminuties. As a way of promoting cultural diversity within the Tees Valley, Sade Sangowawa, Managing Director of the organisation decided to launch the non-profit making event to celebrate contributions of Africans, individuals, organizations and businesses to North East and promote community integration and awareness through art and music.
What we do
Inspirational arts provides the following services • Cultural awareness, Diversity and Equal Opportunities training for organisations • Consultation and research on BME issues • Cultural Awareness/Diversity audit for organisations • ‘Culture Wise’ for Schools • Designing and developing specialised multicultural activities for schools • Multicultural education for teachers • Cultural awareness/ motivationals for refugee/asylum seekers • Ethnic Minority business support and development • Cultural events management • Motivational enhancement programme for voluntary and community sector
Who’s behind it

Sade Sangowawa is Managing director of Inspirational Arts, based in Stockton-on-Tees, North East England. She works with diverse cultures and organisations throughout the North-east, providing Cultural Awareness and Diversity training, presentation skills training and business support. She has a B.A degree in Business Management and also holds an MBA. She lives in Stockton, with her husband and three children. |
